Carol Rae Canellas

Carol Rae Canellas was born October 31, 1938 in Asco, West Virginia. She was raised in the Indian Creek community of West Virginia. Carol relocated to Florida in 1999.

Carol was employed as an electronic technician and then later as a certified nursing assistant. Carol loved reading, sleeping, doing jigsaw puzzles and making various ceramics. Although she was very active, she never forgot her family; she truly loved her children. Carol was a member of the Church of God.

On November 17, around 5:15 Friday morning, Carol departed her earthly life and went home to be with the Lord.

Left to treasure her fond memories are her sisters, Alice Fay Moore and Judith Ann Toler; brothers, William (Alba) Greever, Jr. and Thomas Richard (Sharon) Brooks; grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Wilson and Andria Bruster; eleven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, William Greever Brooks and Mary Bell Ross; husband, Charles Dexter Canellas; sons, Frank William and Danny Ray Atkins; her daughter, Debra Kay Atkins; grandchild, Tracey Dawn Cook; and a sister, Betty Ward.

Graveside Services will be 1 PM, WEDNESDAY, November 29, 2023
