Donald Isaac Watkins, Sr .

Donald Isaac Watkins, Sr. was born on Saturday, July 9, 1960, in Winter Park, FL. He was raised by loving parents Mrs. Doris L. Watkins Pittman and Mr. Frank Pittman, Sr.

Donald committed his life to Christ and joined Williams Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Altamonte, FL. After graduating from Lyman High School in Orlando, FL, he pursued a career as a competent plumber and professional operator of heavy machinery. Donald enjoyed 44 years of bliss with the love of his life, Mrs. Susie Mae Watkins. Additionally, Donald was an ardent fan of the Florida State Seminoles.

On Friday, September 15, 2023, Donald quietly responded to the Master's Call.

His legacy will always be treasured by his loving wife: Susie Mae Watkins; three sons: John J. Crumitie and Donald I. Watkins, Jr., both of Monticello, FL, and Travis (Bre) Watkins of Tallahassee, FL; three daughters: Shana S. Johnson of Monticello, FL, Doris L. (Eric, Sr.) Watkins of Tallahassee, FL, and Nathresa Crumity of Monticello, FL; eight grandchildren: Kierra (Shawn) Boyd of Tallahassee, FL, Keysean L. DeLaney of Monticello, FL, Eric Harris, Jr. of Tallahassee, FL, Kaylee Garcia of Tallahassee, FL, Xavier Watkins of Valdosta, GA, Daylon Watkins and Amarri Watkins, both of of Chicago, IL, and Cheneil Scott, Jr. of Monticello, FL; one great-grandchild: Amari Vanover of Tallahassee, FL; parents: Mrs. Doris L. Watkins Pittman and Frank  Pittman, Sr.; brother: Frank Pittman, Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL; sister: Jackie (Calvin) Wright of St. Petersburg, FL; aunts: Fannie Mae Watkins of Altamonte Springs, FL, Vivian Pittman of Marianna, FL, Minister Linda Redding of Atlanta, GA, uncles: John Watkins, Jr., Nathaniel (Christine) Watkins, Sr., Clifford (Vickey) Watkins, all of Altamonte Springs, FL, Willie (Brenda) Pittman of New York, Otis Pittman of Texas, and Melvin Pittman of Orlando, FL; sisters-in-law: Lucille Seabrooks, Jacqueline Johnson, and Janie Mae Johnson, all of Monticello, FL; brothers-in-law: Henry Johnson and Samuel Lee Johnson, both of Monticello, FL, and Johnny Johnson, Jr. of Tallahassee, FL; godson: Orlando Hills of Monticello, FL; best friends: Caaleb Hannah and Kenny Bryant, both of Tallahassee, FL; and, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Donald was preceded in death by his brother: Amos Watkins; and his grandparents: John I. Watkins, Sr., and Louise Watkins.

Viewing/Visitation will be 4-6pm, FRIDAY, September 29, 2023
