Edd
Keaton
Jan 6, 1953 — Apr 18, 2025
Deacon Edd Keaton
Deacon Edd Keaton, affectionately known as "Bubba", was born in Monticello, Florida, on January 6, 1953, to the late Aggie Bell Keaton Thompson and the late JB Williams. He was raised by his maternal grandparents, the late Mother Annie Lee Keaton and the late Deacon Ed Keaton.
Deacon Keaton confessed Christ as his personal Savior in August of 1965 under the leadership of Elder A.L. Sailor at the Welaunee Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a faithful member and deacon before moving his membership to Mt. Pleasant Ministries under the leadership of Elder Charles Smith. Deacon Keaton was a true warrior; he loved his church and was dedicated to serving in any capacity, especially working within the community firsthand.
After graduating in 1972, he attended Albany State University and later started his own successful tire business, Keaton Tire Repair. Since the time Edd played football in high school, he has been an avid sports fan of both football and basketball. Edd supported the local teams until his health limited his attendance at the weekly games.
While surrounded by family and friends, Edd answered the Master's call on April 18, 2025. His love and legacy will live on forever in the heart of his devoted, loving, and caring wife of 25 years, Doris Washington-Keaton; sons, Sam (Demethra) Jenkins of Tallahassee, FL, Edwin (Dianne) Keaton, Travis Keaton, and Christopher Shervis, all of Monticello, FL, Cameron Enzor of Tallahassee, FL, and Charles (Miranda) Shervis of Clermont, FL; daughter, Saundra Jenkins of Tallahassee, FL; sister, Evon Williams of Tallahassee, FL; and sisters raised with Edd by his grandparents, Josephine Blackmon of Monticello, FL, and Saundra (Russell) Bingham of Orlando, FL.
