Ernest Francis Ingersoll
March 17, 1945 - March 25, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ernest Francis Ingersoll of Carrabelle, Florida. Ernest passed away peacefully at Capital Regional Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida on March 25, 2025.

Born on March 17, 1945, at Ideal Hospital in Endicott, NY, Ernest dedicated 35 years of his life to public service, retiring as Assistant Water Superintendent for the Town of Vestal, New York, on March 31, 2000. He also proudly served his country for three years in the United States Army.

Ernest was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Kathryn Ingersoll, and his son, Todd A. Ingersoll, Sr. He is survived by his children: Michael F. Ingersoll of Greenville, NC; Patrick J. Ingersoll of Miami, FL; and Tammy L. Ingersoll of Santa Maria, CA. Ernest was a loving grandfather to nine grandchildren: Dylan Ingersoll, Jenna Deuger, Darrick Ingersoll, Dustin Ingersoll, Ryan Ingersoll, Britney Mohammed, Todd Ingersoll Jr., Arron Ingersoll, and Mckenzie Ingersoll.

After his retirement, Ernest made his home in the coastal community of Carrabelle (Lanark), Florida, where he enjoyed the peaceful surroundings of his waterfront property.

Ernest will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his community, and his love for his country. His legacy lives on through his children and grandchildren.
