GWENDOLYN YVONNE CONNER
1950-2020
"Gone, But Not Forgotten"
Gwendolyn Yvonne Conner, a birth child of Christ Jesus was handed to the late Bennie Century & Geraldine Davis on October 24, 1950. Gwen was a person of love, laughter, kindness, very meticulous, and most of all extremely direct. She was one who you could go to at anytime with even the smallest of things and get a response. Gwen's arms were filled with the warmth, strength, support and encouragement. She was employed by General Dynamics of Tallahassee for many years. Her hobbies included cooking and watching others enjoying themselves.
Gwen was formerly married to Jethro Conner for 23 years. To that union two wonderful sons were born: Jethro Conner, Jr. and Darryl Jerome Conner (A.K.A. Gabrielle Shakir). Gwen loved her family, and understood what it was to have family. She had such a deep and loving smile that always made others glow on the inside. Gwen would always try to find good in something or someone. Gwen understood what true serenity was: " to accept the things she could not change, courage to change the things she could, and wisdom to know the difference". Her presence and love will forever remain.
Gwen transitioned to our Heavenly Father on December 21, 2020; she is now looking down upon us. Left to cherish Gwendolyn's memories and undying love are: her son, Jethro (Sherrill) Conner, Jr.; a nephew raised as a son, Aaron (Stacey) Conner Sr.; her siblings, Timothy (Chris) Jones, Paulette (Charles) Singletary, Edward Jones, Levington (Shevonne) Jones, Kenneth (Cora) Jones, Earnestine Berry, Adrian Wright, Ann Kinnemore, and Pat Jackson. Grandchildren: Tikiria Haye, E'Tinne Conner, Jethro Semaj Rowson, Christopher Harrell, Shanqual Bland and Taireasia Blunt. And a host of great-grands, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Gwen was preceeded in death by her son, Darryl Jerome Conner (A.K.A. Gabrielle Shakir).
She will be missed in the physical yet will always be with us in the spiritual. Fly on OUR Beautiful Queen, Fly on… WE LOVE YOU!!!
