James Talmadge Hutchins
1955-2025

James Talmadge Hutchins, 69, of Carrabelle, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2025, in Tallahassee, Florida. James was born on November 29, 1955, in Hurley, Mississippi to the late Talmadge Hutchins, Jr. and Irene Etheridge Hutchins.

In the early 80's James worked in the oyster industry. He also sold life insurance. In the late 80's, James started driving trucks; he drove for several companies including: Allen Seafood, Leavins Seafood, D.W. Wilson Seafood, C.E Miller Seafood, and Grag Abram.

James was a very friendly man who never met a stranger. His hobbies included race cars, he loved NHRA Gatornationals, football, baseball, and spending time with family/friends.

Ten years ago, feeling a great desire to draw closer to God, James gave his life back to the lord.

Left to cherish James precious memories and undying love are his two daughters, Nicole Summers,  and Heather Sanders(Delonta); four grandchildren, Nicolas Hutchins, Dezmonae Sanders,  Jeromiah Russ, and Kaleigh Summers; a sister, Mary Yorton; and host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irene and Talmadge Hutchins; nine brothers, Howard Davis,  Herman Davis, Gene Davis, Donald Davis, Buddy Davis, Ralph Hutchins,  Carl Hutchins,  Jackie Hutchins,  and Andrew Hutchins; three sisters, Sue Davis, Evelyn Hutchins, and Helen Hutchins, a grandchild, Logan Summers; two nephews, Bobby Davis and Tommy Hutchins; and two brothers- in- law, Robert Yorton and Jimmy Prince.
