Jerry Franklin Johnson

Jerry Franklin Johnson, the son of Zenobia Marie Martin and Franklin Eugene Johnson was born in Swannanoa, North Carolina on June 13, 1942.

Jerry graduated from Deep Creek High School in Chesapeake, Virginia in 1960. Feeling a need to serve his country, Jerry joined the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany until he was honorably discharged, just six days before his unit was sent to Vietnam.

A talented homebuilder, Jerry built homes throughout the eastern United States, from Baltimore to Florida. Although He and his mother relocated to Wakulla County, Jerry continued his work in the southeastern states. He also assisted in numerous woodworking educational groups all over America.

On May 6, 1989, Jerry married the love of his life, Barbara Joan Brunson, in Crawfordville, Florida. Sharing a lot of the same interest, He and Joan became inseparable. Some of his favorite pastimes were spent with Joan camping and fishing. A well skilled archer, Jerry also loved golfing, baseball, and anything that the "Great Outdoors" had to offer.

On July 10, 2025, with Joan by his side, Jerry passed away peacefully in Tallahassee, Florida.
