Joe Lewis Newkirk

On May 12, 1982, Joe Lewis Newkirk, III, the son of Melvina Deloris and Joe Lewis Newkirk, Jr. was born on Andrews Air Force Base in Joint Base Andrews, Maryland.  At the age of 3 Joe and his family moved to Germany. In 1989 he and his family returned to the US where they resided in Fort Walton Beach. In 2005, Joe and his family returned to his mother's hometown of Monticello, Florida where he resided until his demise.

Joe was very athletic, having played baseball and football in high school. He was an exceptional defensive end and third baseman. He was an avid Miami Dolphins and Hurricanes fan.

On December 30, 2022, Joe transcended this earthly life. Cherishing his love and fond memories are: his son, Kyle Lewis Hoffman-Newkirk; his mother, Melvina Deloris Parker Newkirk; his father, Joe Lewis Newkirk, Jr.; his brothers, Bryan, Christopher and Alexander Newkirk; his sister, Zara Newkirk; his aunts, Renee (Benjamin) Gilliam, Barbara Montgomery, Doreen Newkirk and Linda Harden; his uncles, Harvey, Wayne (Linda) and Anthony (Selena) Miller, and  Matthew Parker; his nieces and nephews, Clayton, Alyssa and Raylen Newkirk; along several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his, maternal grandparents, Douglas and Clara Parker; his paternal grandparents, Joe and Hattie Newkirk and an uncle, James Charles Parker.
