Obituary

Julie Ann Hankins
1961 - 2024

"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more,
neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."
Revelation 21:4

Julie Ann Hankins was the daughter of the late Joseph Hankins and Lois Pearl Cain. She was born September 17, 1961, in Thomas County, Georgia. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted and faithful servant.

After over 44 years of her career as a licensed practical nurse (LPN), having served at Seven Hills Health and Rehabilitation and Cross Landings Health and Rehabilitation in Florida; Thomasville Health and Rehabilitation, South Georgia Medical Center, Heritage House Nursing Home, Brownwood Nursing and Rehabilitation, Southwestern State Hospital, Thomasville Care Center, Hospitality Care Center, and Archbold Memorial Hospital in Georgia; and King William Rehabilitation Hospital, Cresthaven Children's Center, and Highland Nursing Home in Texas, Julie Ann retired on September 5, 2024.

On October 21, 2024, Julie Ann answered her Master's call. Those left to cherish her memories are: her siblings, Leona Elaine Massey (William) of Monticello, Florida, Pamela Jane Governal (Kenneth) of Killeen, Texas and Joseph Louis Hankins, Jr. of Phenix City, Alabama; her nieces, Shaumese, Nicole, Brandi, Kyyah, Ayanna, and Eugenae; her nephews, Sean, Joshua, Quillan, and Samson; and a host of great-nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Joseph Hankins and Lois Cain Hankins.

"We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord."
2 Corinthians 5:8
