Michael Ayers was born October 12, 1980 in Quitman, Georgia to Mr. James Ayers and the late Mrs. Geneva Ayers. He departed this life on August 23, 2022 at Big Ben Hospice after his battle with sickle cell.
Michael, lovingly referred to as Mike, graduated Brooks County High School where he enjoyed coaching football. Michael enjoyed doing anything associated with football and spending time with family and friends. He also was an advocate for the Sickle Cell Foundation.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his loving memories, his father, James Ayers of Greenville, FL; his son, Moses Ayers of Quitman, GA; his brother, James Cordell (Giovanna) Ayers, Jr. of Raleigh, NC; two sisters, Patricia Ann Ayers of Lee, FL and Shanterrial Ameera Ayers of Madison, FL; his step brothers and sisters, Antonio Bridgette, Freddie (Darlisa) Williams, Cadeci (Twanna) Dopson, Eric (Ivory) Powell, Twanikki Dopson and Tashiki Ghent; five nieces, Shakendra Arnold of Live Oak, FL, Alice (Murray) Robinson of Clearwater, FL, Deaundra Chapman of Kissimmee, FL, Joslyn Ayers of Raleigh, NC, and Leonna Chapman of Kissimmee, FL; two nephews, Raymond Arnold of Gainesville, FL and Joseph (Mary) Chapman of Kissimmee, FL; his godmother, LaShawn Robinson, who took care of him like her own; his aunts, Betty (General) Proctor, Annie P. Smith and Ada Savage; his uncles, Albert (Gloria) Wilson, Willie Louis (Maxine) Wilson and James Wilson; his great aunts and uncles, Betty Jean (Rodger) Williams, Rosa Lee Williams and Corvin Bellamy, Jr. and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing/Visitation will be 12-1PM, Thursday, September 1, 2022
