Rickey Alonzo Rogers
1957-2025

Rickey Alonzo Rogers was born on March 22, 1957, to the late Lorene Rogers.

At an early age, Rickey accepted Christ and joined Greater Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. He devoted several years of service to the Jefferson County Road Department, earning the respect of colleagues and community members.

A proud and passionate Florida Gators fan, Rickey could often be found cheering on his team with enthusiasm and loyalty, never missing a chance to show his school spirit.

Rickey answered his Heavenly Father's call on Saturday, June 21, 2025. His life and memory will be lovingly cherished by his sister, Brenda R. Cooks (Henry) of Monticello, FL; brother, Ronald John Rogers of Orlando, FL; and nieces, Velicia Thompson and Janecia Thomas, both of Monticello, FL. He also leaves behind his great-nephew, Demario Steen of Monticello, FL —affectionately nicknamed "Poo Poo" by Rickey— as well as cousins Rose Cooper, Kristen Cooper, and Ashley Cooper, all of Orlando, FL, and Jessica Showell of San Antonio, TX. In addition, he is survived by a host of in-laws, extended family, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Lorene Rogers; brother, Reverend Michael Rogers; and aunt, Rosa Lee Sloan.
