Mr. Robert Edwards a.k.a Rabbit Mann
Robert Edwards, affectionately known as Rabbit Man, was born on February 2, 1929, in Hahira, Georgia, to Mr. Oliver Edwards and Mrs. Rosetta McKinney Edwards. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Army veteran, enlisting in 1951. Robert had a passion for traveling, hunting, fishing, and most importantly, spending time with his family. As a self- employed entrepreneur, he was known for his dedication and famously said, "If you want it, I'l bring ti to you. HamMercy"
Robert Edwards attended Elizabeth AME Church, Thompson Valley under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Stephan McBride and Monticello Tabernacle of Praise Ministries, Inc. under the leadership of Pastor Willie Cuyler, Sr.
Robert was called to rest on May 14, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy cherished by his sons, Willie James Edwards; his daughters, Mable Louise Edwards-George, Roberta Edwards George, and Brianna Edwards; his sister, Carrie Guyton; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other devoted loved ones including Gloria Miller, Cassandra Miler Filer, Harriet Cuyler, Mary Alice Howard, Dorothy "Peaches" Thomas and Charlene Coley, along with numerous relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Robert was preceded in death by his sons, Robert Edwards, Jr. and Ernest Charles Edwards. Robert's memory will be treasured by al who knew and loved him.
