CPO Terry Leon Allen, US NAVY (RET.)
1944 - 2025

CPO, Terry Leon Allen, Navy (Ret.), 81, passed away Sunday, October 19th at his home in Crawfordville, Florida. Terry was born on January 23, 1944 in Tallahassee, Florida to the late Madge F. Singleton Chamburs and Ezra Lean Allen. He was attended Largo High School in Largo, Florida.

Terry enlisted in the Navy at the young age of 17. During his active military career, Terry received several good conduct awards. On September 16, 1979 Terry obtained his certificate of permanent appointment as Chief Radioman. As his 20+ year naval career progressed, Terry experienced living in Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Hawaii before retiring in 1981.

In 1992, Terry received his Master of Science in Computer Education from Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island.

Terry relocated to the Big Bend area in 2009. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. One of his favorite hobbies was golfing at Hilaman Golf Club. He was a member of The HOGs (The Hilaman Old Guys) golf team. Terry also enjoyed spending time manicuring his yard.

Terry's survivors include his sons, Shawn (Deirdre) Allen and Andy Allen; sister, Patricia Chamburs, two feline fur babies, Tootsie and Rascal; along with other relatives and friends.
